Studio Holz
Teaching
Studio Holz focuses on designing, developing and building with wood in various scales. The aim is to enable students to explore new approaches in conceptual and technological work through sketches, models, drawings and prototypes. Design classics, fine arts, sculptures and historical techniques are regularly examined. The name is a playful nod to the great master classes and various studios at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. At Studio Holz, work gets done, wood chips fly and it’s dusty. Within this framework, surprising wooden objects and structures are created.
Teaching assignment in the field of wood technology and design with a focus on analogue and digital production at the Institute for Art Science and Art Education, Professor Christoph Kaltenbrunner (DAE/DEX), University of Applied Arts Vienna.
